Description

SFP+ 10G CWDM 1270nm-1610nm 60km DDM Duplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module is designed to deliver a high level of long-range connectivity between data centers and metro networks. It achieves a maximum data rate of 10.3125 Gbps over its long-distance link capability of up to 60 kilometers on single-mode fiber (SMF) using an integrated CWDM DFB laser and APD receiver architecture.

To maintain wavelength-stable transmission throughout the entire operating range of 1270 nm – 1610 nm, the transmitter incorporates a CWDM DFB laser with a precision driver and public specification (PS) modes. The receiver has a transimpedance preamplifier followed by a limiting amplifier to recover the clean, error-free data signal over its 60-kilometer operating distance.

The integrity of the transmitted signal is ensured by low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) with a 100-ohm characteristic impedance and AC coupling. To reduce the potential for static discharge damage, an ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection circuit is built into each of the electrical interface pins. The SFP+ MSA form factor allows for hot-plugging and provides quick deployment capabilities. With a low EMI (electromagnetic interference) design, it uses differential trace routing and controlled impedance layouts, which help minimize radiated emissions.

The integrated 2-wire interface enables Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) of real-time temperatures, supply voltages, optical input power, and output power. The SFP+ module has a maximum power consumption of 1 Watt (1.0 W) using a +3.3 VDC power supply. The operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C allows for installation in both indoor and outdoor environments.
