Cisco CWDM-SFP10G-1270-10 Compatible SFP+ 10G CWDM Transceiver Module utilizes a single-mode fiber (SMF) with a data rate of up to 10.3125 Gbps over a distance of ten kilometers. It is compliant with the SFP+ MSA standard and provides Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) capabilities, enabling real-time monitoring of the module’s performance. The CWDM-SFP10G-1270-10 also meets the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR/LW and 10G Fibre Channel specifications (i.e., 1200-SM-LL-L).
The CWDM-SFP10G-1270-10 uses a distributed feedback laser (DFB) transmitter that transmits on 18 separate wavelengths (each spaced 20 nm) from 1270 nm to 1610 nm. The CWDM-SFP10G-1270-10 is also equipped with a PIN photodiode receiver that provides high sensitivity and good signal integrity. This hot-pluggable SFP+ module has a 20-pin SFP+ form factor, duplex LC/UPC optical interface, and an EMI shielding metal housing to ensure consistent optical performance. The CWDM-SFP10G-1270-10 requires a single 3.3 V power supply and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5 W.
This module is also compatible with other vendors, including Juniper Networks EX-SFP-10GE-CWEM27-10, Brocade Communications XBR-SFP10G1270-10, and D-Link DEM-X10CS, and is suitable for use with 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches, routers, media converters and storage devices that utilize CWDM for transmission.
