SFP 1000BASE-CWDM 1270nm-1610nm 20km DDM Duplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module

Cisco CWDM-SFP-1270-20 Compatible 1000BASE-CWDM SFP Optical Transceiver Module allows data transmission with a speed of 1.25 Gb/s through a single-mode fiber connection and has a maximum distance capability of 20 km using an LC duplex connector. The module operates in the CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) spectrum with a wavelength range of 1270 to 1610 nm (with a total of 20 nm between wavelengths) and uses this technology to maximize usage of fibers for scalable networks.

The module is engineered with a CWDM DFB Laser (Digital Frequency Boost) transmitter and high sensitivity PIN Diode (photodiode) receiver to ensure that the optical performance of the module remains stable per Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel specifications. The module is also fully compliant with SFF-8472 Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) which provides real-time monitoring of temperature, voltage, and power.

The module can be hot-swapped with any SFP MSA compliant port. It is powered by a 3.3 V DC supply and operates with a maximum power draw of 1 Watt (under 1 W), and its metal chassis and design help reduce EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). The CWDM-SFP-1270-20 Compatible Module meets all RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) and Class 1 laser safety standards.

This module is designed for use in a CWDM network expansion and is typically used in data centers, ISPs, and enterprise aggregation layer applications.
