BYXGD SFP 1000BASE-CWDM at 1270nm to 1610nm with 120km DDM Duplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module supports 1.25 Gbps of single-mode fiber (SMF) data transmission using a Duplex LC Connector with an optical channel plan of 18 channels spaced 20nm apart from 1270nm to 1610nm. This module is driven by a DFB laser, which enables uncooled operation of the module to maximize cost-effective operational deployment through the aggregation of multiple streams of optical information into a single fiber using low-cost Mux/Demux technology.
This module’s design offers extremely low-power consumption (less than 1 watt), while providing a Bit Error Rate (BER) of less than 10^-12 (10 billionths), low jitter, a high extinction ratio, and no drop in signal integrity, thereby providing excellent signal quality to maintain or improve connectivity. It offers a receiver sensitivity of up to -32 dBm, and an output power level of up to +4 dBm, both of which, when used together, yield an optical link budget that can support long-distance connectivity for even the most demanding connectivity requirements in network infrastructures. This module also supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), which can monitor in real-time the operating temperature of the laser, laser bias, transmit power, and receive power; therefore, enhancing the ability to maintain connectivity in the event of an issue within the network.
BYXGD SFP transceiver is also compatible with SFP MSA, IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet, Class 1 FDA Laser Safety, and RoHS Environmental Standards. Compatibility has been confirmed across all major network platforms such as Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series, Arista, Juniper, Dell PowerConnect and EMC, Brocade VDX, and HUAWEI S6720, thereby providing a maximum level of interoperability within multi-vendor networks. The BYXGD SFP transceiver has a hot-plug design, thereby enhancing deployment flexibility for various network infrastructure configurations.
