Shielded RJ45 Industrial Ethernet Cable
This is a cable series designed to keep your industrial network functioning as it should, no matter what the environment throws at it. Whether you are in the market for a CAT5e or a CAT6A, you are sure to find a cable with reliable performance that can handle the demands of your site.
Engineered for Real-World Use
From running network lines down an assembly line to automation and panel controllers, these cables can be relied on to offer the consistent connectivity every operation requires. You can select CAT5e if you only need the basics, or CAT6A if you need everything to run faster, more efficiently, or require more crowd control with data transfer.
Where Each Cable Works Best
CAT5e Shielded Ethernet Cable:
Best for applications involving traditional industrial automation, sensor networks, PLC connections, and anywhere you only need to transfer at 1 Gbps.
In addition to transferring data at a reliable 1 Gbps, it will hold up well to noise and vibration, making it great for use in control cabinets, standard machine wiring, or PoE security cameras, for example, in environments that are relatively stable.
CAT6A Shielded Ethernet Cable:
Best for high-speed industrial networks, robotics, machine vision, fast data transfer, high-speed opportunities, or standard smart factories that require serial data or up to 10 Gbps.
A CAT6A can be beneficial in highly active or noisy environments, down busy production lines, and where additional reserve performance is needed for future changes or additions.
Both work well:
- Outdoor and harsh environments: IP68 water and dust rated, great for chemical plants, washdown zones, or outdoor locations. (This includes other instrumentation and networks.)
- Moving equipment: Flexible constructions that handle vibration and mechanical flex and movement—great for cable tracks, robotic arms, and/or mobile equipment.
- Industrial monitoring: Steady delivery of PoE and data to stationary networked cameras or mobile networked cameras.
Built for Industrial Job
- Flexible Lengths:These cables are available in lengths starting at 0.15m and going up to 20m, so you can find a cable that works for you—no mess, and no waste.
- Full Shielding:The STP/SFTP designs route electromagnetic fields away from your automation data, so that data is not compromised with interference—even if cabling is routed right next to motor drives or welders.
- Industrial Robustness:Various jacket styles of either PVC or PUR, which stand up to years of motion, oil, chemicals, or ultraviolet wear.
- Perfect for Use:Easily integrates into PLCs, Siemens, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, and PROFINET networks.
