The NK6000 can connect to standard fiber optic cable via the FC/UPC port using removable adapters for SC and ST connectors. In-service tests are protected against damage due to live fiber detection and APD protection. Auto analysis with a one-touch button produces detailed event maps and identifies faults in milliseconds. More than 40,000+ traces can be stored inside the NK6000 and exported to external memory using 4GB flash memory in the SOR standard format. Results can be transferred to other devices via USB, Mini USB, or 10/100M Ethernet for batch printing of reports.

NK6000 has 14 different model configurations, which can be tailored to meet many types of applications. Single-mode models that are designed to connect access, metro, and long-haul networks:

- T1/T2 1310/1490/1550nm: 32 to 30 to 30 dB optimized for PON/GPON splitters

Multi-mode and combo models work with enterprise LANs and other applications that use a combination of wired and wireless networks:
