The NK4350 Mini-OTDR is a compact, one-stop-shop for fiber optic testing, perfectly suited to the demands of today’s fiber network testing and maintenance. The NK4350 features dual-wavelength OTDR readings and live fiber diagnostics from one single unit, so there is no need for multiple instruments to do the same job! This compact tester provides high accuracy while streamlining workflows and minimizing costs. Even better—we have two models, D1 and D2, to serve various field needs with different dynamic ranges.
Model Differences
The two models serve different testing needs:
- Model D1operates at 1310/1550 nm wavelengths with a maximum dynamic range of 26 dB at 1310 nm and 24 dB at 1550 nm.
- Model D2operates at the same dual wavelengths but maxes out at 30 dB and 28 dB, respectively, providing better sensitivity on long or difficult fiber runs.
Both models meet the optical diagnostics guidelines for industry standards of G.652 single-mode fibers, ensuring useful and correct testing of all fiber networks.
Multiple Use Testing on PON Networks
The NK4350 provides fiber optic network testing beyond your typical OTDR wavelengths. PON technology is used in many fiber optic networks across various-sized network providers. The NK4350 Mini-OTDR supports the major PON technologies including GPON, EPON, XGPON, XGSPON, and future 25G and 50G PON networks. The compatibility of these standards increases the value of the NK4350 in telecom and data center fiber networks.
The adjustable filter technology blocks live interference from significant wavelengths (1342 nm, 1490 nm, 1577 nm) generally seen in working live PON environments. This capability allows the NK4350 Mini-OTDR to detect possible faults like macrobends and/or low-light situations to avoid any service interruptions.

Field Use Friendly
Two rechargeable lithium-polymer batteries come with the machine, providing double the outdoor time while in the field—whether it is for the whole day or especially for long sessions in the field. The NK4350 design offers a comfortable grip for one-hand function use while providing a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen to view, navigate, and engage with the user-friendly interface.
The Bluetooth capabilities and smartphone integration enable direct onsite reporting and quick generation of easy-to-share reports. This type of integration into the workflow could accelerate the pace of project handoffs or assignments and make your team’s coordination easier.
