The NK4300 Mini LAN-OTDR Fiber Optic Tester is a compact, multi-functional tool that is indispensable for professionally servicing and installing fiber optics in FTTH, metro, and LAN networks. Technicians will appreciate the capacitive touch screen for zooming, a fast processor for smooth operation—including 3Hz refresh on-the-fly—a Bluetooth connection for pairing with mobile applications, and strong backlighting that provides excellent visibility even in bright daylight.
The NK4300 is a full-function tester while the OTDR tests the core, all other features required to troubleshoot a network—including an optical power meter, stable light source, VFL, insertion loss tests, flashlight, RJ45 testing tool are built right into the unit. In addition, Smart Diagnostics offers options for reviewing curves, generating maps, listing events, or summarizing results as text. It also provides automatic Pass/Fail results based on information collected from the OTDR and other tools without having to wait for the completion of the engineering report. Guide and launch fiber connections allow for accelerated setup time and ease of use.
Data can be downloaded via the MicroSD (TF) card and Type-C or USB in the standard .SOR format—no more waiting for changes to be made for future engineering reports. The NK4300’s versatility extends to FTTx and 4G networks as well. Its RJ45 Digital Tracer has a range of 300m, even when connected to live lines with POE technology. Optional end-face inspection can be added to ensure proper polishing.
The Dual Wavelength OTDR 1310/1550 nm allows for the comparison of multiple traces side-by-side, enabling technicians to quickly identify problems in G.652 single-mode fibers. Live testing at 1625 nm and 1650 nm utilizes built-in filters to enable in-service measurements.
