BYXGD C17–C61 25G DWDM SFP28 100 GHz, 15 km LR, DDM Duplex LC/UPC Single-Mode Optical Transceiver Module was developed to support the use of 25G Ethernet and CPRI/eCPRI links via single-mode fiber up to 15 km in length, with an operational frequency range based on the ITU-T G.694.1 C Band between channels C17 through C61 (1563.86–1528.77 nm), separated by 100 GHz.

This module contains a cooled DWDM EML laser along with a high-sensitivity APD receiver developed to deliver data rates between 8.5 and 28.1 Gbps. It also has a link budget with a maximum of 11.3 dB without FEC or 14 dB with FEC, achieving optimally efficient performance for long-range optical connectivity, while the integrated Clock Data Recovery (CDR) within both transmit and receive signals provides low jitter, high signal integrity, reliability, and fast high-speed rates.

The integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) is available for tracking optical performance in real time. In addition, it has a standard duplex LC/UPC connector and is powered from a single 3.3 V supply. The transceiver module is manufactured from a metal housing that offers protection against EMI and is operational within the temperature range of 0–70 °C. The module complies with the SFF-8431, SFF-8472, and IEEE 802.3by standards.
