Cisco SFP-25G-LR-S compatible 25GBASE-LR SFP28 1310nm optical transceiver offers a connectivity rate of 25.78Gbps over OS2 single-mode fiber (SMF) at distances of up to 10 kilometers in a standard LC duplex optical configuration. The optical transceiver supports low-power design, using DFB and PIN optics, and supports DOM/DDM hardware for real-time optical monitoring while also meeting standard network interface specifications as set forth by the SFP28 MSA, CPRI standards, and eCPRI standards for enterprise and data center infrastructure and applications for 25G Ethernet.

The Cisco optical transceiver will operate in a commercial temperature range of 0 – 70°C and will store at temperatures from -40 to 85°C. Power consumption will be at or well under 1.2 Watts per optical transceiver. The optical transceiver utilizes NRZ signaling, dual CDRs, and a BER of 1E-12 to support stable long-distance links. The optical design specifically employs a 1310nm DFB transmitter with a PIN receiver and uses G.652 SMF and LC/UPC connectivity to establish performance with optical reach to 10km consistently by being tested for host compatibility. Each transceiver is individually tested for compatibility under its intended host, ensuring reliable operation in multi-tenant environments and consistent reliability for 25G uplinks over standard infrastructure.
