Cisco SFP-25G-LR-S compatible 25GBASE-LR SFP28 transceivers offer economics for short and long data center connections. The SFP28 transceiver operates at 25 Gbps over OS2 SMF with a distance of 10km at 1310nm through an LC-duplex connector. This hot-pluggable module is suitable for data center switches, enterprise routers, and server NIC applications in 25G Ethernet, telecom, and data center networks. The 25GBASE-LR features a 1310nm DFB (Distributed Feedback Laser) transmitter with an integrated receiver using a PIN (Positive-Intrinsic-Negative) photodiode. The 25GBASE-LR has a design that has proven to be stable and provides long-reach optics for dependable performance on G.652 SMF. The low power consumption, monopoly-compliant SFP28 electrical interface, and standard management features for the SFP28 are all acceptable for current applications. Standards related to the Cisco SFP-25G-LR-S compatible SFP28 are SFP28 MSA, IEEE 802.3by and IEEE 802.3cc 25GBASE-LR, SFF-8472 diagnostics, and common vendor coding for host identification and link training.
