Cisco SFP-25GBX-D-10 Compatible 25GBASE-D SFP28 BiDi transceiver provides transmission speeds of 25.78125 Gb/s over OS2 single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 10 km using 1330 nm on the Transmit (TX) side and 1270 nm on the Receive (RX) side on a simplex LC/UPC interface. The transceiver is equipped with a Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser transmitter and a Photodetector-Induced Circuit (PIN) laser receiver while utilizing Non-return to Zero (NRZ) modulation. The transceiver supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM)/Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) to enable real-time diagnostics of transceiver performance. The transceiver operates off a 3.3V power rail and has a typical power consumption of ≤1.0 W, with a maximum of ≤1.2 W.
This transceiver is packaged in a metal housing to decrease electromagnetic interference (EMI), and it is classified as a Class 1 laser. The transceiver is compliant with the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive and is lead-free. The transceiver supports the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.3cc standards for 25GBASE-BX and the SFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). Additional compliance standards include SFF-8472, SFF-8402, SFF-8431, and SFF-8432.
Designed to operate in single-fiber bidirectional links, the transceiver is ideal to maximize the use of fiber and system components in data center and campus aggregation and access networks. The module is hot-pluggable and supports Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI)/enhanced Common Public Radio Interface (eCPRI) transport as needed. The link partner will need to utilize a complementary wavelength.
