Offering exceptional long-haul operation with reliability, all in a compact, hot-pluggable form factor, the 2.5GBASE-LX SFP transceiver makes application opportunities for switch-to-switch backplanes and mid-reach fiber deployments a real option. For operation at 1310nm over 9/125µm single-mode fiber, the transceiver supports 15 km link lengths with duplex LC connectors. The transceiver utilizes a 1310nm DFB laser for optical transmission and an InGaAs PIN receiver for optical reception. Logic power for the SFP is 3.3V, with a low power dissipation specification to give the transceiver good energy efficiency. The SFP offers Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) to provide real-time visibility of its optical and electrical operating parameters, allowing the network administrator preventive maintenance and diagnostic capabilities. The transceiver provides broad interoperability and works with industry-standard interfaces and networks to support a diverse data center and enterprise working environment.
