2.5G CWDM SFP 1270nm to 1610nm 40km DDM duplex LC/UPC SMF optical transceiver module allows for the transmission of data at speeds not to exceed 2.5 Gbps over single-mode fiber for distances of up to 40 km. It contains 18 CWDM DFB laser wavelengths spaced 20 nm apart from 1270-1610 nm, enabling you to select from multiple wavelengths as needed in your CWDM networks. A CWDM DFB laser transmitter is integrated with an internal PIN photodiode receiver in a hot-pluggable Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) module with an LC duplex connector. This CWDM SFP operates on one single 3.3 VDC power supply and is designed to be very low power. The CWDM SFP has a metal enclosure to provide adequate shielding against EMI. The electrical interface of the CWDM SFP is a signal type (soldered) that meets the 100 Ω differential impedance specification and is intrinsically AC coupled to maintain signal integrity.
The CWDM SFP module meets the SFP MSA and SFF-8472 standards, incorporating Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) to monitor the following parameters in real-time: temperature, laser bias current, optical power, received power, and supply voltage. The CWDM SFP module is designed to operate in a commercial environmental temperature range (0°C to 70°C) and complies with RoHS and lead-free regulations. The CWDM SFP module has demonstrated reliable performance in a variety of switching network configurations, making it an excellent choice for long-distance extension applications (SDH STM-16, SONET OC-48, and Fibre Channel). The CWDM SFP module’s compact size allows for easy integration into existing fiber optic infrastructure with CWDM multiplexers for efficient use of fiber.
