Cisco SFP-10G-ER40 Compatible 10GBASE-ER SFP+ transceiver operates at 1310 nm and supports link distances up to 40 km over single-mode fiber (SMF). It is designed for high-speed 10G Ethernet and Fiber Channel applications, with a simplex LC/UPC connector included. The SFP+ form factor allows for “hot-pluggable” features, making installations or upgrades easy and seamless for already established optical equipment in the network.
This SFP transceiver complies with IEEE 802.3ae, SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and SFF-8472 standards to ensure compatibility and interoperability with a wide variety of equipment in the market. This module also provides Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) via the 2-wire serial interface, enabling real-time observation of temperature, voltage, and optical power. The SFP has a low power consumption of less than 1.5 W and provides reliable, stable operation across a wide operating temperature range, suitable for both data center and carrier environments.
