Cisco XFP-10GER-OC192IR Compatible 10GBASE-ER/EW and OC-192/STM-64 IR-2 XFP 1550nm 40km DDM Simplex LC/UPC SMF

1550 nm EML transmitter coupled with a PIN receiver fully supports 10G line rate at 9.95–11.1 Gbps; the optical budget allows 40 km over OS2 single-mode fiber. Duplex LC optical connector for the optical interface, XFP with a single 3.3 V power supply with hot-swap capability. DOM/DDM provides temperature, voltage, bias, Tx/Rx power for pre-emptive monitoring. IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-ER/EW, OC-192/STM-64 IR-2, XFP MSA, Class 1 laser, RoHS compliant; typical power ~3 W, maximum power ~3.5 W.

1550 nm centered transmit wavelength; PIN receiver sensitivity is tailored for ER links; designed and tested for low EMI performance and ESD immunity. No external reference clock is needed for operation, which is stable in normal temperature ranges. Applications include 10G Ethernet, Telecom, Data Center deployments, and SONET/SDH IR-2 links. The design includes a mechanical latch with EEPROM-based ID for host negotiation.
