Cisco SFP-10G-BX60D compatible 10GBASE-BX60-D SFP+ transceiver provides long-reach, high-speed performance over a single fiber using WDM. It transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm over an OS2 SMF with an LC simplex connector on a 60 km link, and on the paired BiDi module, it transmits at 1270 nm and receives at 1330 nm. It effectively doubles throughput for the distance without the need to add fiber. Digital diagnostics are provided via the I2C interface per SFF-8472, with parameters of interest updated in real time for monitoring and maintenance. The module is designed for hot-pluggable installation, uses low power, and interoperates across brands, with full compliance to SFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ae BiDi. The simplex LC optic installation is easier, and the materials and design meet enterprise safety and environmental standards.
Each unit is tested for compatibility with Cisco SFP+ ports and related devices in a production environment that is typically used in enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, or for front-line deployment such as Radio & Baseband Units and Network Interface Cards (NIC).
