Cisco SFP-10G-BX40U Compatible 10GBASE-BX40-U SFP+ BiDi 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX 40km Simplex LC/UPC SMF

Cisco SFP-10G-BX40U Compatible 10GBASE-BX40-U SFP+ BiDi transceiver is engineered to operate at a distance of up to 40 km over OS2 SMF using one LC simplex fiber, allowing for full-duplex operation on a single strand of fiber. One side of the transceiver transmits at a wavelength of 1270 nm and receives at a wavelength of 1330 nm, while the other side transmits at a wavelength of 1330 nm and receives at a wavelength of 1270 nm for bidirectional communication.

Digital diagnostics are provided via the I2C interface in accordance with SFF-8472, allowing real-time readings of temperature, supply voltage, current, optical power, TX/RX, and other information to help monitor the health of the module on a proactive basis. Each module is tested independently to guarantee compatibility with a wide range of switches, routers, servers, NICs, and other network devices, assuring interoperability.

This transceiver is well suited for enterprise wiring closets and service provider transport links, as it combines low power consumption with high-speed performance, making it the perfect solution for dense deployments and scalable networks.
