Cisco XFP-10G-BX20D Compatible 10GBASE-BX XFP BiDi 1330nm TX / 1270nm RX 20km DDM Simplex LC/UPC SMF Transceiver is designed to deliver 10G bi-directional optical links using single-mode fiber. It is compatible with the Cisco XFP-10G-BX20D and alternative part numbers from Juniper Networks (EX-XFP-10GE-BX32-20), Brocade (10G-XFP-BXD-20K), and Dell (DE) (GP-XFP-10GBX-D-20).
The module operates from 9.95Gb/s to 10.5Gb/s using a 1330nm DFB laser transmitter and 1270nm PIN receiver to support 20km link lengths on G.652 fiber. Typical optical output is +1 to +5dBm with a receiver sensitivity of -15dBm. It provides duplex communication over a single strand of fiber using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology and is equipped with a simplex LC/UPC connector.
The module has been designed to comply with the following standards: XFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR/LW standards, and 10GFC 1200-SM-LL-L. The module operates on a single +3.3V power supply with a total power consumption of 2 Watts or less. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) allows full real-time monitoring of internal temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, and received optical power. The operating temperature is between 0°C and +70°C, and the transceiver module complies with IEC 60825 Class 1 laser safety standard, while meeting RoHS environmental standards for energy efficiency and stable long-distance performance.
