Compatible Cisco XFP-10G-BXD-I 10GBASE-BX XFP BiDi transceiver is purpose-built for 10G bi-directional data transmission over single-mode fiber and up to a distance of 10 km utilizing WDM technology. The transmission of 1330 nm over the single strand along with receiving light from 1270 nm reduces fiber counts, while also improving port density in high-density 10G networking.
This module utilizes a simplex LC/UPC connector and fully adheres to XFP MSA compliance and IEEE 802.3ae standards. The 10GBASE-BX XFP transceiver includes an uncooled DFB laser transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver while supporting digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) for real-time monitoring of operating temperature, voltage, optical power, and bias current. The transceiver has a power consumption spec lower than 1.2W, ideal for the high-density environment of a large enterprise network.
This 10G optical transceiver is fully compatible with a variety of equipment, including Cisco switches, routers, servers, and NICs. It is also compatible with Juniper Networks EX-XFP-10GE-BX32, Dell GP-XFP-10GBX-D-10, and Brocade 10G-XFP-BXD-10K models, making it an easy-to-implement, multi-vendor solution.
