Cisco XFP-10G-BXU Compatible 10GBASE-BX XFP BiDi Transceiver permits transmission rates between 9.95 Gb/s and 11.1 Gb/s on a single strand of single-mode fiber for distances extending to 10 km. This module operates using a 1270 nm transmit wavelength and a 1330 nm receive wavelength, which means the full-duplex, bidirectional data is sent on a single single-mode fiber without interference through the use of WDM technology on a simplex LC/UPC connector. This module’s design is optimized to use the available fiber efficiently and integrates optical performance with power consumption below 2 W using a DFB laser and PIN receiver.
This module complies with the XFP MSA and IEEE 802.3ae standards and is hot-pluggable, meaning it can be deployed flexibly across all network switches, routers, servers, and NICs. DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) is built in to monitor key parameters in real time, including optical power, temperature, and voltage to enhance the reliability of the network.
