Cisco QSFP-100G-LR-S Compatible 100GBASE-LR Single Lambda QSFP28 PAM4 1310nm 10km Duplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module provides 100Gbps Ethernet over 10 kilometers of Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) at 1310nm using 100G PAM4. The transceiver module includes a duplex LC interface and a single-lane 100G PAM4 optical path converting four 25G NRZ electrical inputs through an integrated digital signal processing (DSP) and gearbox design.
The transceiver is compliant with QSFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), 100G Lambda MSA, and IEEE 802.3cd 100GBASE-LR standards with support for KP4 Forward Error Correction (FEC). The transceiver also contains a hermetically sealed electro-magnetic light (EML) transmitter and a photodiode (PIN) receiver. The power consumption is up to 4.5W and meets the Class 1 FDA laser safety standard while being RoHS compliant.
Real-time monitoring of critical diagnostic parameters, such as optical output power, temperature, and voltage, is available using DDM via the I2C interface. The transceiver is fully interoperable with 400G-DR4 and 400G XDR4 via an electrical breakout of 4×100G ports; however, it is not backward compatible with legacy 400G LR4, PSM4, or CWDM4 modules—simply ideal for data center applications and high-capacity interconnects.
Compatible with Cisco QSFP-100G-LR-S, Intel SPTSLP4SLCDF, HW QSFP-100G-LR1, and Extreme 100G-LR-QSFP10KM, the transceiver is ready for next-generation applications.
