Cisco QSFP-100G-DR-S Compatible 100GBASE-DR QSFP28 Optical Transceiver Module allows for 100Gbps Ethernet over a single 1310nm wavelength for distances up to 500m on OS2 single-mode fiber (SMF) via duplex LC connectors. This optical transceiver allows transmission of 4×25G NRZ electrical signal streams and converts them into a 100G PAM4 optical signal at 53.125 Gbaud. The QSFP-100G-DR-S supports 802.3cd, QSFP28 MSA, and QSFP28 100G Lambda MSA compliance.
This transceiver includes PAM4 modulation with an integrated DSP gearbox and supports Forward Error Correction (FEC). The device has a maximum power consumption of 4.5W and includes digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) to monitor real-time parameters via an I2C interface. The QSFP-100G-DR-S can be used in 400G breakout applications to support 400G-DR4 and QDD-DR4 module interoperability.
The transceiver is hot-pluggable, Class 1 FDA laser safe, and RoHS compliant, suitable for use in data centers, enterprise core, and high-performance computing environments. This transceiver is capable of reliable performance up to a maximum distance of 500m for OS2 single-mode fiber. It provides low latency and efficient fiber connectivity with a 3 dB minimum optical budget. The module operates within a range of 0–70 degrees Celsius and is CE certified.
