Cisco QSFP-100G-CWDM4-S Compatible 100GBASE-CWDM4 QSFP28 optical transceiver provides 100 Gbps transfer rates on single-mode fiber (SMF) data links at distances up to 2 km via duplex LC connectors. The module will operate on four CWDM wavelengths: 1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331 nm and has a digital diagnostics monitoring interface. The module is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ba, IEEE 802.3bm, CWDM4 MSA, SFF‑8665, SFF‑8636, and ITU-T G.694.2. The optical interface uses CWDM DFB lasers and PIN photodiodes for reliable, error-free performance and supports an absolute maximum power consumption of 3.5 W. The hot-pluggable QSFP28 packaging option makes installation in supported network equipment error-free and does not require a service interruption. The module supports digital optical monitoring (DOM) with real-time readouts of temperature, voltage, laser bias current, and optical power to support network reliability, diagnostics, and maintenance.

This transceiver supports a high-speed electrical interface and interoperability with 100G network platforms compliant with standards. Regulatory and safety features include FDA Class 1 laser safety and RoHS compliance. This module is ideal for use in data centers, campus networks, and enterprise core layers, offering optical networking capabilities for high bandwidth and low latency.
