Cisco Compatible 100GBASE-BX40-U QSFP28 BiDi 1304.58nm-TX/1309.14nm-RX 40km module provides bidirectional 100G on one fiber strand of single-mode fiber (SMF), which effectively doubles the network bandwidth capacity. The module is designed to support link lengths of 40km on G.652 SMF with a simplex LC connector. This transceiver contains an EML laser transmitter with a power output range of 1.7 to 7.1 dBm and an APD receiver with a sensitivity greater than -13.8 dBm. It operates at data rates of 106.25Gb/s using PAM4 modulation with less than 4.5W of power consumption. This product meets the QSFP28 MSA and IEEE 802.3cu specification.
This device has Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) capabilities with a two-wire serial interface to monitor temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, and transmit and receive optical power in real time. This device is hot-pluggable and meets Class 1 FDA requirements for laser safety. This module is designed for high-speed data transmission and has applications in data centers, metro networks, and enterprise core applications with densely cost-efficient use of fiber and reliable performance.
