Cisco Compatible 100GBASE-BX30 QSFP28 BiDi optical transceiver is engineered to deliver 100Gbps over simplex single-mode fiber. It has an operating distance of up to 30km, which enables bidirectional transmission on one strand of fiber at wavelengths of 1304.58nm Tx and 1309.14nm Rx. The transceiver contains an EML laser transmitter and an APD receiver in a hermetically sealed BOSA. The transceiver operates at speeds of 4×25.78Gbps via an NRZ CAUI-4 electrical interface and has a maximum power consumption of 4.5W.
This optical transceiver module complies with the QSFP28 MSA and IEEE 100G-LR1, 100G-ER1-30, and 100G-ER1-40 standards in addition to the SFF-8636 and SFF-8679 standards. The module supports hot-pluggable operation, complies with Class 1 FDA laser safety standards, and accepts Digital Diagnostic Monitoring via a two-wire I2C interface, which measures real-time operational data like temperature and optical power.
