BYXGD’s 1 m (3 ft) Cisco QSFP-100G-AOC1M Compatible 100G QSFP28 Active Optical Cable has a multimode fiber (MMF) aggregate data rate of up to 100 Gb/s using four full-duplex 25 Gb/s connections. Each channel is able to operate at any of the following speeds: 10, 20, or 25 Gb/s for 100GbE applications or InfiniBand EDR links with VCSEL transmitter and PIN receiver arrays. The cable complies with both QSFP28 MSA and SFF-8636 hot-pluggable designs, RoHS-6, and Class 1 laser safety requirements according to FDA guidelines. Power consumption does not exceed 3.5 W per end (typically 2.2 W) and has a minimum bend radius of 30 mm for rack-to-rack installations.
Its lightweight construction makes it suitable for high-density switches and servers, allowing for easier installation of adjacent racks compared to heavy copper cables. This cable is compatible as a third-party QSFP28 AOC to be used with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Mellanox, and over 200 other companies, including the complete line of Cisco Nexus 9000/3000/3100/3200/3400/3500/3600/3900/7000 series (7000-F/M/S/X/X2 to 7000-X1579). This cable is capable of being reliably tested via time-domain reflectometry/two-port vector network analysis (VNA) on qualified switches to validate proper operation when used in short-reach 100G Ethernet hubs, routers, and servers. The OM3 and OM4 multimode fiber can support transmission distances up to 70 meters and 100 meters, respectively.
