BYXGD 1000BASE-EX SFP is compatible with the Cisco GLC-EX-SMD interface and transfers data at 1.25 Gbps, 1310 nm over single-mode fiber for distances up to 40 km via duplex LC/UPC. The transceiver is designed with an FP/DFB transmitter and a PIN receiver, with a nominal power supply of +3.3 V; power consumption is less than 1 W. It is designed to operate under industrial temperature conditions of −40 to 85°C for outdoor and cabinet use.
Digital diagnostics allow measurement of temperature, voltage, laser bias, and TX/RX optical power through a 2-wire interface. The transceiver is hot-pluggable according to SFP MSA and adheres to the IEEE 802.3z specification for Gigabit Ethernet links.
