Cisco GLC-BX40-U Compatible 1000BASE-BX-U SFP Transceiver provides reliable gigabit connectivity over single-mode fiber (SMF) for up to 40 km. Using 1310 nm TX and 1550 nm RX wavelengths, the transceiver supports 1.25 Gbps data throughput via LC simplex connectors while ensuring reliable BiDi operation with the complementary transceiver. This transceiver is suitable for enterprise and telecom networks, compliant with IEEE 802.3z, RoHS, and Class 1 FDA laser requirements.
The module includes built-in Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) to allow real-time diagnostics of optical power, temperature, and link status quality. It ensures consistent reliability across platforms compatible with Cisco GLC-BX40-U, Juniper SFP-GE40KT13R15, Brocade E1MG‑1G‑BXU‑40, H3C SFP‑GE‑LH40‑SM1310‑BIDI, D‑Link DEM‑331R, and TRENDnet TEG‑MGBS40D3.
