Cisco GLC-BX-20U Compatible 1000BASE-BX-U BiDi SFP transceiver is designed to support full-duplex, bidirectional transmission of data over single-mode fiber using 1310 nm for transmission and 1550 nm for reception. It has a data rate of 1.25 Gbps, a maximum link distance of 20 kilometers, and a single LC or SC optical receptacle.
The module is hot-pluggable and complies with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), so it can be used broadly on nearly any networking device. This component runs off a 3.3 V power supply and uses less than 1.0 W of power, making it an excellent component for high-density deployments. It supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) functions for real-time diagnostics and is compliant with IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standards, FDA Class 1 laser safety, and RoHS compliance. Each unit is thoroughly tested for cross-vendor interoperability and performs reliably, consistently, and predictably.
