Cisco GLC-BX-10U Compatible 1000BASE-BX-U high-performance 1000BASE-BX bi-directional SFP transceiver modules are for Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber. The transceiver operates at 1310 nm TX and 1550 nm RX wavelengths and supports distances up to 10 km through LC simplex connectivity. Additional specifications conform to IEEE 802.3z and SFP MSA compliance and support Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) of temperature, voltage, and optical power.
Each transceiver combines a FP/DFB laser transmitter and a high-sensitivity PIN photodiode receiver with a transimpedance amplifier (TIA), providing stabilized optical performance and a low bit error rate. The modules are designed with a 20-pin hot-pluggable interface and support data rates of up to 1.25 Gbps with 100-ohm differential impedance compatibility.
