Cisco GLC-2BX-U Compatible 1000BASE-BX-U Compact 2-Channel Transceiver Module is a dual-channel optical device designed for transmitting Gigabit Ethernet signals bi-directionally over single-mode fiber. It supports two optical channels, each capable of data rates of 1.25 Gbps and a distance of up to 10 km using a 1310 nm FP laser transmitter and a 1490 nm PIN photodetector with LC/UPC duplex connectors.
The module is a hot-pluggable transceiver that is compliant with the CSFP MSA and IEEE 802.3ah standards, which includes monitoring support for Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DOM) to provide real-time values of optical power, voltage, and temperature, ensuring reliable operation and simple maintenance and troubleshooting. The module runs off a single +3.3V supply, consuming little power and generating low EMI radiated noise, enclosed in a durable metal enclosure. The GLC-2BX-U Compatible (CSFP) transceiver provides compatible bi-directional optical channels that meet the high-performance and space-constrained connectivity needs in Fast Ethernet, Telecom, and Data Center application spaces.
