1000BASE-BX-D SFP transceiver is designed to be used for 1.25Gbps bidirectional data transmission via single-mode fiber up to 10km. It transmits at a wavelength of 1490nm TX and 1310nm RX and operates using a simplex LC interface for lower fiber utilization.
It is compatible with the optical and electrical characteristics of the Cisco GLC-BX-D, the Juniper Networks SFP-GE10KT14R13, Brocade E1MG-BXD, HPE ProCurve J9142B, HPE H3C JD099A, H3C SFP-GE-LX-SM1490-BIDI, HW 0231A11V, Dell SFP-GE-BX10D-1490, Extreme 10056, Alcatel-Lucent 3HE00868AB, Foundry Networks E1MG-BXD, Avaya AA1419070-E6, and the Allied Telesis AT-SPBD10-14.
Transmit power is -9 to -3 dBm with a receiver sensitivity of -21 dBm. The inherent characteristics allow for reasonably stable operation while adapting to varying link budgets. The typical power consumption is less than 1W while the supply voltage is 3.3V.
The 1000BASE-BX-D transceiver adheres to standards such as IEEE 802.3z and SFP MSA dimensions. This SFP supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring, which provides real-time performance of the electrical and optical characteristics (temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power).
